Coupon Book

Hello everyone!

This post has been a long time coming. I have been using this coupon book for about a week now. I normally like to post before I use, but it took me a while to figure out how I wanted to keep it closed in my purse. I ended up using a knob from the unfinished wood section in Michael's and some elastic ribbon. I must say I LOVE the way it turned out. The stamp I used is from The Greeting Farm (LOVE THEM!!) all of their stamps are super cute so it can be hard to choose (consider yourself warned). I have had this stamp for awhile now because anything shopping related is a must have for me. I thought it fit this project perfectly. I colored her in with my Copics (yes I'm still learning). I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the shape around her then used my distress inks to give it a little shadow around her. The trim at the bottom has tiny rosettes with black pearls in every other one (hard to see in the photo). I used my Cinch (LOVE) to bind it all together. As you can tell I have packed it full already with coupons.

"Made with Love" PKS Sketch Challenge 44 w/a Twist

Hi everyone!

This is my entry for the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge.

Now I know what you are thinking great Valentines Day card right? Sorry to disappoint you, but it's not. I started with the snowman stamp from Peachy Keen and just kept going with the heart theme. The challenge was to stick to a monochromatic scheme. So I used different variations of red and pink. The hearts are stamped with Everyday Character faces also from Peachy Keen stamps. I ended with a great sentiment from the fabulous Emma! This was also my first time using my Copic Markers so be nice...I tried! I will keep working on improving, but I do think for my first time without going to any classes I did pretty good.

Glass Etching

So everyone knows you have to have snacks when you craft! Right? Some people have to have a salty fix while others like me need a sweet fix. So here is my little "Sweets Jar" for my favorite crafty snack. I used A Child's Year cartridge to cut out "Sweet" using vinyl. I then used the etching cream to etch "sweet" into a glass jar I was giving as a gift. I added some ribbon and a button and now I have a cute way to store my favorite treat.

MCT Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello everyone here is my entry in Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. Please visit her website www.creativetimeforme.com to see all the amazing entry's.

For this challenge we were to use either wet or dry embossing and use either one of the paper doll cartridges. I used dry embossing on her dress and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I also used one of her fabulous sentiments from her new stamp line You Had Me At Chocolate. When I saw this stamp I saw this card. Isn't she cute with the chocolate around her mouth :o). I also used one of my favorite Peachy Keen Stamps called Happy Lashes for her face.

Rosettes are Blooming

I'm back with a post that has nothing to do with a card. Can you believe it? I admit I was burned out with cards. Yes, I have made a few cards since my last post months ago. Don't worry I have not giving up on making cards. I just wanted my next post to be something other than a card.

Rosettes are the new hot thing to make now for cards and scrapbook pages. So I thought I would try making them. I think I got a little carried away with the size, but in all I think they turned out great. I'm not going to go into detail with how I made them other than the two large ones were made using 2 strips of 12 inch paper pieced together. If you do a little research on YouTube you can find a tutorial on how to make them.

Happy Anniversary

Hello everyone,

This card was made for a very special couple that has been married 55 years. So I had to make sure this card was very special.

The base is from Papertrey Ink. The white cardstock is random and embossed with the Wedding #2 Sizzix embossing folder. The sentiment is from CTMH it is the Love Always set (Which I LOVE!) The ribbon is random and the flower brads are from Stampin Up. The bride and groom were cut at 4 using the Wedding Solutions Cartridge.

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad

Hello everyone,

Today I have a very special card to share with you. I made this card for my Parent's Anniversary which is tomorrow. The will be married 42 years tomorrow. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad I love you so much!

Now on to the card. The base is basic black from Stampin Up. I embossed the silver American Crafts foil paper with the Cuttlebug folder D'vine Swirl. I cut the flower bouquet with my Sweethearts cartridge in the blackout feature. The paper I used is from Martha Stewart. I found the paper stack at Walmart on clearance. I then used paper roses I bought on Ebay (say goodbye to expensive Prima's) I love these flowers. They look just like Prima roses and they are made in Thailand just like Prima's. ;o) You can also find them at http://www.iamroses.com/. The size I purchased and used on the card is 1/2 inch. I used my Bow Easy to make the pink bow with satin ribbon from the Dollar Tree. I printed the sentiment on my computer and punch it out with the heart punch from Stampin Up. I distressed the edges with Sweet Blush ink from Paper Trey Ink.
