Girl's Night Out (party favor)

Here is the party favor I made (for the party see below) using the Stitched Lollipop Holder Die, Scallop & Stitched Circle Die Set and the glass from Keepin' It Classy. I made cake pops (for the first time) and it wasn't that hard. I think with practice I will get better, maybe next time I won't make them so big. I hope you enjoyed by posts for today. Girl's Night Out (invitation)

Hi everyone! Here is an invitation I made for a girl's night out party a friend and I hosted. The card base is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2. I used Emma's new stamps Keepin' it Classy. I love these stamps!! When I first saw them during her sneak peak week, I just knew I had to have them. Don't they fit perfectly for a night in with the girls. I love the glasses that come with the set too. I used glossy accents to make the glasses shine. The flower in the center is from iamroses.com which I sprayed with my Lindy's in Hottie Patottie Hot Pink. The flower center is a ribbon slider with a half back pearl.

Happy Anniversary Gift Card Holder

Hello again! I have been really excited to post this Gift Card Holder! I had to wait to give it away before I could post. I used the Gift Card Holder die from Emma / My Creative Time (see her button on sidebar) that I have been dying to use every since I got it in the mail.

I cut the gift card first with black cardstock from Papertrey Ink. Then I cut it again with pattern paper and attached them together. I embossed the sentiment using the stamp set that go with the gift card holder with white embossing powder from Stampin Up. I then made a flower using puffy daisies from Iamroses.com. I colored the flower with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst spray in Amaryllis Burgundy (love the color). I used a recollection bling for the center from Michael's. I then cut a flourish with the fancy flourish die from My Favorite Things.

Okay so I warned you on my last post about the photo! I really love this card! I'm normally not a fan of yellow, but the DCWV Lemon Flower stack was too pretty to pass up.

The card base is my new favorite size of 5 1/2 by 5 1/2. I cut the label and the flower from my new favorite cartridge CTMH Art Philosophy. The flower I cut twice for a fuller flower. Once with the same patten paper as the background and again with plain cardstock. The rose in the center is from I am roses.com. The two leaves under the flower were cut using canvas from a Tim Holtz's Tattered Leaf die and sprayed with Lindys. The flourishes were cut from a die from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from Emma (My Creative Time) and the bling is recollections.

Disney 2011

Note to self (I have to stop forgetting to take a photo of my projects before I give them away). Sorry about the picture! My wonderful sister-in-law took it for me after I had already given the frames to my nephews with her iPhone. Thanks Jennifer!

Okay now to the frames. I found them at Dollar General in their small craft area. I first painted the frames with black acrylic paint from Folk Art. Then after drying I painted the front with Folk Art Crackle Medium. Then after it dried completely (that is a must and best if you let it dry on it's own) I painted them with red acrylic paint from Folk Art and waited for the magic to happen. I know it is hard to tell from the photo, but it is a really cool effect! I then cut the Disney, 2011 and the Mickey using Mickey and Friend and Mickey Font Cricut cartridges. Before adhering them down. I covered them with Mod Podge so that they would last longer and withstand the elements.

Happy Anniversary

Just as a warning for the next few months I have a lot of Anniversaries. So your going to see a lot of annversary cards on my blog. So I hope if you don't make a lot of anniversary cards or some times forget to (like I do) then maybe I can provide you some inspiration.

This card I have to say took a lot work, but it was so worth it. I have been wanting to cut this chandelier every since I purchased Home Decor. The reason why is obvious so I could bling it out! So, lets start with the card base shall we. The base is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 using Papertrey Ink cardstock. I then layered the reverse side of the same Stampin Up paper I used on my previous post as the background. I don't remember what size I cut the chandelier, but I used my Gypsy to figure what size I would need to fit. I then embossed the flames with gold embossing powder from Martha Stewart. I then used Glossy Accents on the "metal" part of the chandelier to give it that metal look. Then came the fun part blinging this baby out. I used my I-rock to attach the Jolee's Swarovski hot fix gems. I also used some flat back pearls and ribbon from my stash. The cherry blossom at the top is from I am roses and I colored it using my Lindy's Stamp Gang Dark Chocolate Truffle Starburst spray. The banner across the bottom is the same spellbinders die I used on my previous card.

I made this card for a friends anniversary using the Love Struck Seasonal 2010 Cartridge. I have had this cart since it came out, but this was the first time using it. I colored them using Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst spray in Cosmopolitan Pink.
